It all started with our own wedding. We searched high and low for unique dishes, linens, and drinkware, amassing a wonderful amount. Our table settings varied with color and character. It was such a great experience, hearing our guests share their fondness for some vintage beauties or how their table setting reminded them of their own family’s. It was then that we received our first requests for rentals – two of them, in fact!
Since then, we continue to search for additional pieces, and creating charming table scenes for all events.
We offer a variety of styled collections including china, drinkware, table linens, servingware, silverware, and other decor. We deliver to your event location and pick up, which is one less thing for you to arrange. It’s also a perfectly green option! Earth-friendly, reusable, and style – combined to help you create an unforgettable event.
Our Story
Growing up, Linda was lucky to have family time with grandparents and great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family stories were shared, and even visits to antique shops were made. 'Old things' from the 60's, 70's, & 80's were abound in the house. Yet the love of vintage was not so apparent until it was time to marry and host a wedding.
The 'new things' were nice, but there was no connection to the generations of family. After seeing an inspiration of vintage table design, Linda knew that would match her & her husband's style together and weave family throughout the wedding. Afterwards, Generations Vintage Rentals was established to help share quality treasures with others.
Linda and her husband live along the Mendocino coast, with family, and their dog, Cody. Remembering how she was a bride arranging a wonderful celebration, Linda works diligently with each client to ensure a smooth process building an unforgettable ambiance for their event. With every piece Linda collects, she researches the manufacturer and design to learn as much of the time period for further table scene inspiration.
